Tracking the State of Data for Good

An international team of researchers has created the Global Data Barometer, which measures the state of data for social good in 109 countries from May 2019 to May 2021. The included dataset contains information about laws related to countries’ data governance and their approach to the use of data for social good, such as for climate actions, health and COVID-19, political integrity, and public finance. For example, for Australia, the dataset lists the National Greenhouse Gas Inventory as a source of quarterly data on the country’s greenhouse gas emissions.
