Croydon, Kingston-upon-Thames, Merton, Richmond-upon-Thames and Sutton will work with the innovation centre on relevant use cases for citizens and local businesses.
Technology innovation centre Digital Catapult has announced a new partnership with the South London Partnership (SLP) InnOvaTe Project to deploy IoT technology across five South London boroughs.
SLP InnOvaTe is an initiative exploring the use of Internet of Things (IoT) technologies to address community challenges and deliver sustainable economic growth.
Improving service provision
Croydon, Kingston-upon-Thames, Merton, Richmond-upon-Thames and Sutton will work with Digital Catapult to develop IoT solutions that address relevant use cases for citizens and local businesses and to improve service provision.
The ultimate aim is to deliver a multi-purpose IoT platform. The project also aims to support business retention and sustainable economic growth, while assessing the pilots’ potential to deliver significant savings to further borough councils.
