China Initiates a Global Vision for Smart City Development

International Smart City Research Institute Establishes U. S Office in Silicon Valley
SAN MATEO, CA - 1/24/2017 (PRESS RELEASE JET) -- The International Smart City Research Institute specializes in Smart City and Intelligent Industry project development. The agency was created with with the approval of China’s Ministry of Science and Technology and is headquartered within the Ministry offices in Beijing, China. The objective of ISCRI is to build in-depth international exchanges and cooperation for Smart City research and technology. By opening of the United States Branch in Silicon Valley, the ISCRI has taken a large step forward in demonstrating a global vision capable of gathering high end resources and serve as the host of a high end think tank that can address the world’s Smart City challenges.
“I am honored to be leading the ISCRI’s efforts here in United States. The U. S. branch will serve as a gateway between the U. S. and China and thrust both countries towards the forefront of technological advances when it comes to Smart City development”, stated, Michael Holdmann, President, ISCRI-US.
The result of the cooperation stemming from ISCRI’s activities both here and abroad will be improvements in China mainland, Taiwan and U S Smart City domestic platforms as well as enhanced delivery of public services that provide for a better quality of life for all of their citizens.
Long Chen, Chairman of the ISCRI in Beijing stated, “Our organization is looking forward to working closely with our U S branch and contributing to the rapidly expanding technological advances and their applications”.
ISCRI plans to apply the advances it discovers to support the “One Belt One Road” initiative that China’s President Xi Jinping first outlined in 2013 The “One Belt One Road” (OBOR) implementation began in 2015 and the opportunities for United States businesses in China and along the routes are now becoming apparent as it continues to evolve sector by sector and province by province – a process which is expected to last for several decades.
